National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has today, Sunday 13th, February 2022, paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land who also doubled as the Chairman of Ogun State Council Of Obas, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Victor Adewale Ajayi (Torungbuwa II, Ilufemiloye 1) in his royal palace at Akarigbo Palace, Sagamu, Ogun State.

The former Lagos State Governor said the essence of the visit and consultation is to officially informed the Paramount ruler of Remo Land, and all people of Remo Constituency both home and disapora on his intention to run for President and to seek the royal blessings of the Oba’s on his ambition to contest for the position of the President of Nigeria in the 2023 Presidential election, GENESIS MEDIA HOUSE report.

Speaking during his visit to the Ogun monarch, Tinubu said “I started with Awujale of Ijebu land yesterday, then i proceed to Alake of Egbaland. I know I have not been to Sagamu but I followed the order and historical tradition to respect age even though I knew Akarigbo is the Chairman, Ogun State Council Of Obas”.

“I am aware Ogun governor is not around, we spoke and I asked for his permission to enter his state. I can’t stop him from travelling and I don’t have to hold my mission too, so everyone is free to do his business”, Asiwaju added.

In attendance during the visit were Remo Traditional Obas from various communities, Some Chiefs and High Chief’s of Remo Land, some delegates from Tinubu’s camp, the SSG to the Ogun State Governor, Mr. Talabi who represented the state Governor, the Remo Federal House Of Representative Member, Rep. Oriyomi Onanuga, The state legislators representing the three local government that made up Remo Constituency, the Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Development, Hon. (Mrs.) Funmilayo Efuwape, Hon. (Barr.) Agbaakin Ganiu Odufuwa (OGO), the Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate, some APC stalwart, party members, indigenes and non-indigenes of Sagamu Local Government.
