The Executive Members of Abiodun for Second Term Group (A42T) and OGD Gateway Movement of Ijebu Central Federal Constituency on 25th July, 2022 paid courtesy visit to the Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odogbolu Local Government, Otunba (Dr.) Adebayo Odunowo at his Imoru-Ijebu building site to introduce their Group outfit.
Addressing the leader on their visit, the Coordinator of the group Hon. Ajayi Ekundayo said “We are here on this visit for three reasons. Firstly, is to introduce A42T to you because we have seen your immense contributions as Leader of our Party in Odogbolu and Ogun State.
Secondly, we are here in advance for the program of your installation on 3rd September, 2022 as Otunba Oyinloye with your wife as Yeye Otunba Oyinloye by HRH. Oba Banjo, Olokinne of Ojowo. We are here to pray along with you for the success of the events of the Day.
Thirdly, for the inauguration of our Group in the Constituency which will come up at a later date. To solicit your gracious presence and support for the occasion”.
The Group presented a large banner to Otunba (Dr.) Odunowo and with him took some group pictures.
Responding, Otunba Odunowo said “I was not expecting this. I appreciate your kind gesture of recognition. Your group happens to be the first to present a sizeable banner to me to which am extremely grateful.”
After going through his political trajectory from Lagos when he joined All Progressives Congress in 2014 as a Political Strategist with all his contributions until he decided to return to Sagamu and later back home in Odogbolu in 2021, he called for the unity of the party members. He also advised all those who won the Party Primaries to embark on reconciliatory move within their various constituencies.
Relating his special advise on this, he said “My main advice is that no party goes into battle with a divided house. If there is any animosity, dissatisfaction, injustices, it must be sorted out before we go into the next election. If we do not, our weaknesses will become strength for our opponents; we have seen the Osun State as an example. I appeal to all winners of the primaries to be magnanimous to visit the gallant losers and reconcile with them for their support and alignment. This healing process should be religiously taken to make them happy and become one unit for the next elections. It’s not easy losing an election, these aspirants have spent so much money and put in a lot of efforts. They must not be ignored, we are all humans and we all have blood running through our veins. Our leaders should look into this because Asiwaju Bola Tinubu did this immediately after he won the Presidential Primaries of our great party. Our people should do likewise”.
While pledging his support for His Excellencies: Prince Dapo Abiodun and Otunba Gbenga Daniel, whom he sees as a mentor and one of the best governors in the history of Ogun State, he prayed for their success in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
