History was made today, as the leadership of the APC Youth League Ogun State Coordinate led by Comrade Olamide Lawal handed over the baton of leadership to an Interim Executive committee to be headed by Yunus Fayomi – Gateway, to oversee the affairs of the youth league after the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee.

In his handing over address, Comrade Olamide Lawal applauded his team for their selfless efforts which made the APC Youth League a group that has become a treat to other groups within the rulling party in the state, Genesis Media House reports.

In a State Meeting held today Monday 15th, August 2022, at the APC State Secretariat, Abeokuta, the outgone Coordinator also commended the efforts of the Senatorial and Local Government Coordinators as well as members of the league at all levels.

Comrade Lawal pleaded with aggrieved members to let go all their grievances for them not to labour in vain.

He charged the new excos to build on the successes of the group and raise bar of standards as the league cannot afford to lose out after the 2023 polls.

In addition, Comrade Lawal hereby dissolved all the Executive arms of the State level with immediate effect, before swearing-in the newly leadership of the league. Members of the newly constituted executives are;
Gateway Yunus Fayomi -Coordinator, Ismail Abass Olanrewaju -Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju – Publicity Secretary while Alarape Saheed Kayode, Onamade Mathew, Ajibola Kayode, Hon. Kunle Ogundeyi, Fasasi Ahmed, Bankole Muhammed, Akintonte O.M.K, Odunuga Orisunbare and Saliu Olamide Daniel – GENESIS, to served as the Member of the newly excos, with their portfolio adjusted till further notice.

In his acceptance speech after swearing to the Oaths of office and allegiance, the new Coordinator, Comrade Gateway eulogized Comrade Olamide Lawal for his leadership style which had given every member the ability to show case their Sense of professionalism to promote our Governor and other candidates of the party to achieve success even before the conduct of the elections.

In a report signed by the newly Publicity Secretary, Olanrewaju Sulaimon, which stated; “Gateway assured his predecessor that he would maximize the experience he garnered while serving as the secretary under the just concluded administration”.

The new coordinator appealed for the loyalty of all members at all times in order to achieve success before, during and after the forthcoming election

He solicited for the support of his 9-man committee members as the time to begin the work is now.

He noted that his team would try and raise the flag of success for our great party APC at all times.
