The Ogun APC Youth League, led by Com. Yunus Fayomi has faulted a statement “Ogun APC Crisis: Before the Lies Go Viral”, credited to a serving Senator of Ogun West, Senator Tolu Odebiyi, over the crises in All Progressives Congress, APC, Ogun State.
Odebiyi has stated in the statement, alleged that “what were those things the fault-finders accused Senator Amosun of, in the lead-up to the 2019 elections, that the incumbent, Governor Dapo Abiodun hasn’t done even worse? Or shall we ask: what reconciliatory move or effort has the incumbent undertaken since assuming office almost four years ago to improve the lot of the APC in Ogun State? Rather, he’s always in competition with himself and illusory rivals”.
In a chat with newsmen from Genesis Media House, the APC Youth League Ogun State, carpeted Odebiyi over his comment, saying the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District had never been a good representative of the district, going by his political style and ideology.
The Ogun West Coordinator of the League Mr. Muhammed Bankole speaking on behalf of the League, stated that Ogun West citizens had the worst experience under Odebiyi in all ramifications, especially in the areas of good governance, stability, transparency and welfare amenities to the people. He also stated that the people of Ogun West was ashamed and worries on how Senator Odebiyi turns himself to be Personal Assistant and political errand boy of Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
Muhammed further flayed Odebiyi, said let it reflect in the condemnation that he’s doing so because of the emergency of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) who returned home to liberate his people from political oblivion of the like of Tolu Odebiyi and co. “Tolu Odebiyi forget so soon, how he was helped and supported by Governor Dapo Abiodun when his current master Amosun wanted him to fail during the 2019 election, but the Ogun west Director of Dapo Abiodun Campaig Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi swing into action to ascertain his victory during the poll by calling on who is who across the Senatorial District to ensured the victory of Tolu Odebiyi”, Bankole added.
Odebiyi also stated in his statement that Senator Amosun nurses no more ambition since he yielded his presidential bid to Asiwaju Tinubu, says his decision to leave the senate was personal, while the Ogun APC Youth League condemn the statement, says “Amosun stepped down from the Presidency race mainly because he knowns he’s not capable of winning, and lack the experience to take Nigeria forward, while he also added that Amosun stepping down from the race adds nothing to the Ogun State APC and also put no value to the successes of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Muhammed said, “The vituperation of Tolu Odebiyi sheer propaganda and his team in their desperate move to come back to power in the state through the back door did not come as a surprise to many.
Com. Bankole, hereby urge the general public to disregard the statement of the Senator, as he assured the party members and the general public that there is nothing like crises in the Ogun State chapter of the APC, as claimed by Odebiyi. “All Progressives Congress, APC, Ogun State, remains one big family and we are working perfectly to make sure Prince Dapo Abiodun and all other APC candidates, irrespective of their positions, emerge the winner of the 2023 general elections.
