The Sagamu Chapter of the National Youths body of Nigerian rulling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, known as APC Youth League, have commended the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency; Prince Dapo Abiodun -MFR, for the ongoing constructions works at Gateway Agro Cargo Airport in Ilisan Remo.

Recalled that Governor Abiodun made it known that “the cargo airport will begins operations in December 2022 and will run commercial flights when completed, adding that authorities of the Nigerian Airforce and Nigeria Customs Service have indicated an interest in establishing their operational bases at the airport, while he also note that some airlines have shown interest in operating commercial flights at the airport, which will in turn help boost the economy of the state, noting the project, when operational will provide no fewer than 25,000 jobs for the people of the state.”

Speaking with Genesis Media House, the APC Youth League Coordinator for Sagamu Local Government, area of Remo Constituency, Comr. Hammed Sunmola (a.k.a Tantala) who expressed happiness with the Ogun State Governor for the bode step taken in constructing the Airport in Remo Land, said; the projects will not only improve economy problem in the areas but will also alleviate poverty and boost job opportunities among the Youths as according to him, thousands of youths who are engaged in the ongoing casual jobs with the contractors are now feeding well with their families.

A member of the State Transition Committee of the League who is also from Sagamu, Comr. Daniel Olamide Saliu (a.k.a Genesis) stressed that, the construction companies are also impressing the public by the quality of the work been done so far which according to him, urge the companies to develop a fast speed space as Ogun people are eager to witness the commissioning of the projects by December, as the Governor vows.

Genesis further expressed happiness that with numerous projects witness under Abiodun’s administration, it will make a smooth winning re-election of the Governor in the State, most especially in his home based constituency, Remo.

“We sincerely appreciate Mr. Talk and Do Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for what he has been able to accomplish across Ogun State and may Almighty God keep guiding, protecting and further enriched him with abundant wisdom in piloting the affairs of the state to the promised land.

“On this note, the entire APC YOUTH LEAGUE SAGAMU LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAPTER endorsed Governor Dapo Abiodun for second term while urging other Youths, Men & Women of Ogun State to also pledge support for the Governor re-election bid, says his achievements and the people-oriented programmes is second to none, deserves another four years tenure in office till 2027.

It is by this we are assuring Mr. Governor and all other APC candidates of our total support, loyalty and we shall continue to mobilise more Youths across the State for their victory, come 2023 general elections”, the statement reads.
