In a bid to rejig the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Remo Federal Constituency and position her to win all elective positions next year, the APC candidate and incumbent member, House of Representatives representing Remo Federal Constituency who appointed prominent and vibrant individuals into directorates (Youth and Media) about a week ago had inaugurated them in the early hours of today.
The event which was held at the Makun, Sagamu Remo Federal Constituency Office was a well attended one which had the presence of the APC Ogun East Senatorial Chairman, Otunba Adedoyin Asoludero.
While addressing the appointees, Rep Onanuga reiterated that her consultation with party leaders and the people informed her decision of the need to set up machineries such as this that will help propagate the party’s achievements and reposition her ahead of the coming elections. She added that the role of the appointees, most especially the Youth directorate is not to hijack the one of APC Youth leadership but to compliment it, and essentially get directions from the party leadership as to guide its operations.
The Sagamu APC Party Chairman, Hon Rafiu Opaleye in his remarks said the directorates being inaugurated today is a good and progressive idea because all the achievements of Ijaya in office which some people have not been able to see will be propagated by the aid of the team. Hon Opaleye stressed that Youths made up of the highest voting population thus, charged the Youth directorates to stand up for the task ahead which is an enormous one.
Ogun East APC Senatorial Chairman, Otunba Adedoyin Asoludero in his remarks said, Rep Onanuga Ijaya has been a silent performer which he also got a good report of her from the Green Chamber that she is a good representative. He said due to her performance in office, he will propagate all the good doings of her. Asoludero further said the party alone cannot do the electioneering job reason for the directorates which will help the APC as a party. “Ijaya knows what she wants and the party must win, the directorates should compliment the work of the party and by God’s grace we will all work together for her success”, Otunba Adedoyin said. Asoludero charged all appointees to do the job wholeheartedly with the aim of convincing the electorates to see enough reasons of voting APC in the coming elections. He thereafter assured that the people will enjoy Rep Onanuga the more in the next dispensation.
The Remo North APC Party Chairman, Otunba Ladejobi Sobambo in his own remarks charged the newly inaugurated directorates not to see themselves as tools for election but have it in mind that they are indirectly working for themselves hence, announcing themselves to the ears of party leaders because no contributions goes unnoticed in party activities.
Chairman of the Youth directorate, Hon Ajetunmobi Habeeb who accepted the responsibility, in his remarks said he is happy for the honor bestowed on him to lead the Youth team full of vibrant individuals, he said there’s nothing but victory for Ijaya and the APC. Comr Maxwell Adeyeri who is to lead the Media directorate aligned with the position of Hon Ajetunmobi, he said that it is time for productive publicity which he urged the party leaders to implore Rep Onanuga to permit mega publicity being what is obtainable in politics of today.
Chairman, Remo North LG, Hon. Dapo Odunsi in his remarks, averred that in politics, after the party leadership, the media is another important tool, he noted that the agenda of the media directorate is a welcome development towards APC winning the forth coming elections.
The APC Sagamu LG Women leader, Hon. (Mrs) Rukayat Sonubi (a.k.a Yoboro) in her contributions said that having been convinced by the projects facilitated by Rep Adewunmi Onanuga, she will work assiduously for her victory because Ijaya’s victory will tantamount to her own victory and a pride for her, she thereafter pledged to front the Ijaya reelection house to house campaign.
