The Oba Ogu’ja Olu-lsa( Olisa)came with Ogboroganda otherwise known as Obanta now known as the Awujale of Ijebu-Land about thousand years ago before the Oba Oguja Olu-Isa (Olisa) joined the entourage of the first Awujale of Ijebu-Land, He was an Oba and therefore Head of his domain known as ISA KINGDOM Somewhere in the area knowns in various names before finally called Imesi-Ile in Ekiti State of Nigeria.

Oba Ogu’ja Olu-Isa (Olisa) of Ijebu-Ode came to Ijebu kingdom with his Beaded Crown, Brass Sword and objects signifying his status as a traditional ruler (King), Oba Ogu’ja Olu-Isa (Olisa) of Ijebu-Ode Acknowledged the supremacy of Àwujale politically and both of them settled and rules while Olisa as mayor of Ijebu Kingdoms.

Oba Oguja Olu-Isa (Olisa) had his palace at Ijada quarter in Iwade Ward of Ijebu-Ode with his palace’s staffs and rules over Ijebu-Ode, He used his beaded Crown on appropriate occasions,
Oba Ogu’ja (Olisa) throne is hereditary and there are (7) Seven Ruling Houses for (OLU-ISA) OLISA OF IJEBU-ODE.

“THE NAME OF THE PRESENT AND PAST OGU’JA OLU-ISA (OLISA) OF IJEBU ODE”

“OGU’JA” is the “ROYAL” title of the”KING OF IJEBU-ODE” The holder is officially recognized and addressed as “OLISA OF IJEBU-ODE” under NO OGSLN 40 OF 1980.

NOTE:
The Ogu’ja Olu-Isa (Olisa) of Ijebu Ode and the Awujale of Ijebuland’s stool by original inter-dynastic marriage are occupied by children of same royal blood. This accounts for the quiet, undisturbed and peaceful movement of some of the past Ogu’ja Olu-Isa (OLISA) of Ijebu Ode to the Awujale stool.

Some Oba now crate the post of Olisa these new Olisa use itagbe they do not have Afin of their own and no crown as the Oba Ogu’ja Olu-Isa (Olisa)of Ijebu-Ode the creation of the post of Olisa tends to creates confusion are mere Honorary Chief (Itagbe Chief).
