A young Islamic cleric, Alfa Sikiru Agbeye, popularly known as Abefe, residing in Agura, area of Sabo Sagamu, Ogun State, was said to have being involve in an alleged attempt to kill an over 30 years old yahoo guy, Sodiq, popularly known as Olowo Igbo, over a sum of five hundred and ten thousand naira (₦510,000), meant for herbal spiritual medicine purposes, mainly used by the yahoo boys to control their clients, improve their frauds business and gains more wealth, popularly tagged by the yahoo yahoo boys and their spiritual clerics as “Level or Parol”.
Genesis Media Hub gathered that the Islamic Cleric took Olowo Igbo to a river at Koso Wood Factory, along Sagamu/Abeokuta express road for spiritual bath, on March 7th, 2024.
According to the information gathered from Olowo Igbo’s wife, she explained that her husband firstly sent the sum of ₦300,000 to the cleric for the spiritual medicine is, which her husband later complains that the spiritual medicine is not giving him the result he want. Two months after complaining, the cleric asked her husband to send another ₦210,000 for another medicine making it a total amount of ₦510,000 collected from her husband for spiritual medicine, noting all the medicines given to her husband was not working.
On how her husband and the cleric got to the river for purification, she narrated that the attempted murderer called her husband on phone to come and picked him at Mr. Biggs, along Akarigbo road, Sabo Sagamu, for a spiritual bath at a river claimed to be along Sagamu/Abeokuta express road, noting while performing the spiritual bath, he, Abefe, pushed her husband into the deep part of the river and ran away, with a believe that her husband will be dead so that he won’t be able to asked for the refunds of his money.
While appreciating God for the safety of her husband’s life and those that brought him out of the river, she further explained how the cleric also attempted to scatter her matrimonial home with false “Adultery” allegations labeled against her to her husband mainly because the spiritual medicine is not working well for her husband.
A source who shared the information with our news correspondent, said the cleric have been arrested by the security operatives in Sagamu on the first day of Ramadan, some days after the incident.
In additions, another source who is very closed to Olowo Igbo also explained that the cleric have been performing several atrocities and crimes in Sagamu for some years now, like having sex with women that came to his office for spiritual healings by force, giving fake visions to people, selling fake spiritual soaps to people, using “juju” to collect people’s hard earn money, properties and many other related crimes. He therefore urge all the people of Sagamu to stay away from dealings, consulting, patronizing and associating theirselves with the cleric over businesses, spiritual assistance or religious services and activities, and many more, while he also use the medium to warn the general public to be very careful in visiting and consulting any religious cleric for spiritual medicine, healings or assistance on any challenges facing them.
To adds to the story, all efforts used to contacted the cleric for further interviewing session was not successful as at the time of filling this report, as no one knows the whereabout of the cleric now, after report heard it that the security operatives granted him bail in conjunction with the Islamic organizations and the victims, Olowo Igbo.
