Chief Olarenwaju Michael George (OMG) has congratulated indigenes of Ogun State on the 46th anniversary of its creation while also praying for peace and progress for the people.

Ogun State was created on 3rd February 1976, by the then military head of state, General Murtala Mohammed.

In his congratulatory message, the Aare Tayese of Ikenne Land praised the people of Ogun State for their resilience and hard work towards the growth of the State from inception to date.

According to him, the State is reaping the collaborative efforts of everyone, both the young and old, and it will only get better if all hands remain on deck in ensuring that Ogun State maintains its enviable status among states in the country.

He said: “Today is another reason for us to celebrate as a state and as a people. We are here today due to the hard work of every indigene of Ogun State, home, and in diaspora. I must commend all indigenes of Ogun State for their various contributions to the development of our dear State. On this day, I pray for continued peace and progress for our State and its indigenes.”

OMG also commended the administration of His Excellency, Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, for his vision and leadership style in running the affairs of the State.
