According to an eye witness, explosives sounds was heard in the environment of the refinery on today’s, Wednesday morning.

Genesis Media Hub reports that the cause of the fire outbreak could not be ascertained as at the filing of this report.

Responding to the claims, an official statement from the company was released to confirmed the incident, reads “Dangote Refinery contains minor fire at its effluent treatment plant.

“We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP), today Wednesday, 26th June.

There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operatingand there is no recorded injury or body harm to all our staff on duty.”
