Some gang of masquerades descended on a girl mercilessly, flogging her in the presence of her boyfriend while her boyfriend helplessly tried to fight off the masquerades.

Some concerned Nigerians after seeing the circulated video, has called the attention of the government to the horrible act of the so called masquerades, noting cultural practices that aim at women being flogged by masquerades should be looked into by our Nigerian traditional institutions and the Ministries of Women Affairs and Youth and Culture respectively.
