The Ogun State chapter of the Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has slated Miami Lounge in Panseke, area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, as host venue of its forthcoming State Elections with no less than 11 post considered eligible to be contested for on the day of the elections, which is scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 7th, 2024.
The chairman of the electoral committee, Rufai Olaitan, known by his stage name as DJ Ruffy, said election into the offices of chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, treasurer and others would hold that day.
DJ Ruffy in his statement said DJAN Electoral Committee under his watch, charged with the statutory responsibility of electoral management and administration is committed to conducting a free, fair, credible and inclusive elections.
While assuring them of a smooth and transparent process, he urged all members of the Association, mostly the eligible voters, to conduct their voting exercise within the expectation of the law, adding that to have a peaceful elections, notifications have been sent to the security agency to be fully on ground, so as to ensure safety of lives and maintain orderliness within the time frame of the electoral process.
“We hereby call on all candidates that intend to contest in this election to impress on their members and supporters to be law-abiding and respectful in their conduct of relationship with fellow players in the elections.” DJ Ruffy said.
Meanwhile, The Remo Branch of the Association will also host its first DJ gig of the year 2024, tagged as “Night Of DeeJays On The Wheels” featuring star famous DJ’s; DJ Scopeman from Ibadan, DJ JB Omo9ja, DJ Super, and many other invited DJ’s from different Local Government Branch of the Association in Ogun State, with the likes of DJAN IJEBU ODE BRANCH, DJAN IJEBU NORTH BRANCH, DJAN IJEBU-ASSESE MOWE/IBAFO BRANCH, DJAN ILARO BRANCH, DJAN OKE ARO BRANCH, DJAN ABEOKUTA BRANCH, DJAN ITORI BRANCH
DJAN IFO BRANCH, DJAN SANGO BRANCH, DJAN AGBARA/IBESA BRANCH, and many more will be fully present at the event, in an effort to boost the State entertainment sector.
The event will take place at Revolution Restaurant & Lounge, at Express Junction, Sagamu, on the same date of the DJAN elections, Thursday, March 7th, 2024, with the stage kick starting by 8pm till dawn.
According to official report from one of the leader of the Association in Sagamu, DJ Kayzaino, explained that the first of its kind event, will be having some Guest Artistes, like Key10Pour, Rickyola, Nimoni, Sammyberry, Cornelius, amongst others, while Sagamu born award winning hit maker and world star, INDOMIX, as well as the CEO of Forever Bloosom Records, CEO of RIKI MART, CEO of NIYIFOLA LIMITED, and many other prolific dignitaries in Remo Land are among the Special Guest to be present at the event.
The event is pure entertainment for music-lovers all around the State, the goal of the event is to honor and uplift the performances of the Association’s, and to let the general public know the importance of a Disck Jockey (DJ) in their musical enjoyment.
Kayzaino also uses the opportunity to call on people and music lovers to get their booking and join the Association for a dance party, noting It’s an opportunity to loosen the limbs, set down the to-do-list and connect with others on the dance floor.
