A yet-to-be-identified commercial motorcyclist (Okada Rider) and his passenger tragically lost their life’s in a road crash accident that occurred at around 6:00 pm on Monday, March 11th, 2024, at the front of Stanbic Bank, along Akarigbo road in the Sabo area of Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria.

A source, while chronicling the circumstances surrounding the crash, attributed the cause of the accident to a driver plying one-way direction.

Another eyewitness report narrated that the bike man, who was moving against the flow of traffic, accidentally fell under the truck’s tires, resulting in the immediate lost of lives, noting the bike man and his passenger tragically lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a fully loaded truck carrying granite along the road.

Confirming the incident, Police officers and Traffic Control Agency in Sagamu promptly arrived the venue and took charge of the situation. The remains of the victims were carefully taken to the hospital, while the truck involved in the accident was also impounded to the nearest security quarter’s in Sagamu for further investigation.

While condoling with the deceased family, Genesis Media Hub note that the distressing incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and ensuring the safety of all road users, implored drivers, okada/tricycle riders and other road users to observe safety measures on the road.
