The APC Youth League Sagamu Chapter has today, Monday, mourned the sudden demise of one of her leader, Mrs. Funmilayo Zainab Tijani who was until her death the Ward 6 Women Leader of the party, APC, died today Monday, August 29th, 2022.

Reacting to the tragic incident, the LG Coordinator of the Youth, Comr. Hammed Sunmola popularly known as Tantala, in a statement mourned the passing of late Funmilayo, describing her as a committed women leader.

Genesis Media House report that, the remains of the late women leader who died at age 55, was today laid to rest today at 2:00pm, according to the Islamic rite at Atoyo, area of Sagamu.

“Mrs. Funmilayo was a committed women leader who proved herself as a great mobiliser and excelled in all her assignments. She will be surely missed especially at a time like this by the entire party, APC, family, friends and well-wishers.

“On behalf of the entire leadership and members of Sagamu APC Youth League, we sympathize with her children, siblings, friends, the entire families and as well as the Sagamu APC women leader, Mrs. Rukayat Ogunnubi (a.k.a – Yoboro) who lose one of her gallant soldier in the APC women’s wing fold. We pray that God will grant the late Funmilayo Tijani eternal rest and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the statement reads in part.
