Hundreds of sons, daughters, relatives, well wishers and amiable personalities in Makun Land, area of Sagamu, Ogun State, on Thursday, 9th February, 2023, staged a Youth Mega Rally/Walk to express their support for the community annual festival, “The 25th Obaruwa Festival (Festival of Arts & Culture)”, which begins from Sunday 5th, February 2023, and will comes to an end on Saturday, 11th February, 2023.

Addressing hundreds participants of the rally at the Ewusi Palace; the Asiwaju Odo of Makun Land, Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole, largely know as  who also doubled as the Chief Host of the Mega Rally, appreciate the congregations for coming out in large numbers to show support for the Obaruwa festival, Genesis Media House reports.

In his speech, the Ewusi of Makun Land, Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, note that the large turnout was a testimony that the festival enjoys wider acceptability across the Makun Land, while declaring the rally opened with royal blessings from the throne.

The rally train then move from the Ewusi Palace through major streets and roads in the Makun Sagamu metropolis, expressing excitement joy, from the participants as they wine and dine round the Makun communities.

Also speaking about the rally, the Lawmaker representing the good people of Makun Land: Hon. Adeniran Ademola, popularly known as Sapele, appreciated the people of Makun, most especially the Obaruwa Youths who took out time to participates in the mega rally.

Other dignitaries who participated in the mega rally were; Comr. Ade Kalejaiye (The Chairman, Youth Committee for the Obaruwa Festival), Hon. Olapeju Ayodele (PJ); PDP OGHA candidate for Sagamu (Makun) State Constituency, Hon. Damilare Bello (DRE); PDP OGHA candidate for Sagamu (Offin) State Constituency, Comr. Segun Okeowo (Ikenga), indigenes and relatives of Makun Land, Sagamu.
