The Royal Dinner and Awards Night of the ongoing 25th Obaruwa Festival (Festival of Arts & Culture) helds yesternight, Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at the Ewusi Hall, Makun Sagamu, showcases moments of endowment from the Ewusi Traditional Council, Makun Sagamu, as the Ewusi of Makun Kingdom, Alayeluwa Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya (Orungba II) welcomed all the guests to the event.

The night was full of excitement as talents was displayed from Makun Indigenes, that makes everyone to wear there dancing shoes as the event got hotter with a great performance, mostly from the cultural dancers.

The event also featured award recognitions to majorly Makun sons and daughters that are making the community proud in their respective duties, as well as Posthumous awards of recognition to the late heroes of Makun Kingdom.

Another highlight of the event was the awarding of Hon. (Otunba) Oriyomi Adewumi Onanuga -IJAYA; the MHR representing Remo Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Abuja, who also doubled as the Yeye Oba of Ewusi Makun, as the “Makun Obaruwa Outstanding Leadership Award”. Others awardee were Olootu Oyekanmi Oduguwa who bags the Special Recognitions Award, while the Posthumous “Heroes Award” was awarded to Late Mr. Taiwo Olanrewaju, which was ably received by the children of the late hero.

Also present at the event were; the PDP 2023 Remo Federal House of Representatives candidate Asiwaju Bola Oluwole who also doubled as the Asiwaju Odo of Makun Kingdom, and his counterpart who is contesting for OGHA, Sagamu 1 State Constituency (Offin), Omooba Damilare Mohammed Bello, prominent high chiefs, sons and daughters of Makun Kingdom, Sagamu.

Genesis Media House reported that the Day 4 Event of the 25th Obaruwa Festival continues on Thursday, 9th February, 2023, with Youth Rally which will kick start by 12:00 noon and Obaruwa Beauty Pageant by 8:00pm, as the activities of the day.
