The entire citizens of Makun Sagamu, both home and abroad congratulated their Yeye Oba of Ewusi Land and Federal Lawmaker, representing the good people of Remo Land, at the Green Chamber; Otunba (Hon.) Oriyomi Adewumi Onanuga popularly known as Ijaya and their Asiwaju Odo of Makun Land, Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole (ABO); who is the PDP 2023 candidate for the Member, House of Representatives, Remo Federal Constituency, on their “Leadership Awards” at the 25th edition of Obaruwa Festival (Festival of Arts and Culture).

Statements gathered from attendees showed that Ijaya and ABO was worthy of the leadership award. The Makun community through its royal king, His Royal Highness; Alayeluwa Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya (Orugba II) who presented the awards to all the awardees lauded Ijaya and Bolarinwa’s selfless services and magnanimity traits to the entire people of Makun Kingdom, Genesis Media House reports.

The MHR Ijaya who received her award on Wednesday at the Royal Dinner/Awards Night event of the 25th Obaruwa Festival took to the podium to thanked God Almighty for giving her the strength to do the little she could, while she further expressed her gratitude to the Ewusi of Makun Kingdom, Oba Akinsanya who she regards as her father and king. Ijaya there further congratulated all citizens of Makun and Sagamu generally for a peaceful celebration, while she prayed that God should spare everyone’s life during and after the festival till the next and beyond.

ABO who left the event for an emergency assignment was duly represented by Asiwaju Abidemi (Bidex) to received the award on Thursday at the Youth Nite and Beauty Pageant event of the 25th Obaruwa Festival, appreciated the Makun Traditional Council for awarding his principal said Oluwole’s contribution to the growth of the community will never stop, noting his principal will never deviate from his selfless services ideology, while he also congratulates all the sons and daughters of Makun Land, both home and abroad on the occasion of the Obaruwa festival.

Other awardees at the Youth Nite and Beauty Pageant event at the 25th Obaruwa Festival were; Hon. Olapeju Ayodele (PJ), Mr. Ikechukwu, Comr. Kayode Segun Okeowo (Ikenga) and Comr. Ade Kalejaiye, who were awarded the Makun Youth Leadership Awards.

Also in an interaction with one of the attendees, Oyebola in his words said “I believe more are yet to come because our awardees will continue the progressive representation they’re are destined to, noting the awards is a called for more actions.
