‎Celebrating Unity And Progress: RYA And RGDF Hosts 2025 Remo International Youth Day

‎The 2025 Remo International Youth Day Celebration was a remarkable event that highlighted the unity and vibrancy of the youth in the Remo community. This year’s occasion held on August 12th, 2025, at Afotamodi Town Hall in Isara Remo, area of Remo North LG, brought together prominent stakeholders from the Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF), youth leaders from across Remo land, and various youth organizations, making it a truly memorable gathering.

‎Adding to the event’s significance, attendees from the diaspora, led by Dr. Bisi Adekoya, CEO of the VOA Foundation, provided invaluable support by offering free medical check-ups with her medical team. Cultural troupes showcased Remo’s rich heritage, while peace-loving community members united to celebrate the potential and contributions of young people to the development of the Remo communities.

‎The Chairman of the Remo Youth Association (RYA), Comrade Bidemi Solarin, extended a warm welcome to the youth and esteemed guests alike. His address set a tone of unity and inclusivity, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to making the event meaningful and impactful.

‎An engaging lecture was delivered by Prof. Akinola Babalola, a distinguished lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Babcock University. Speaking on the theme, “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation Through Technology and Partnership,” he emphasized the critical role of youth in fostering global collaboration through technology and strategic partnerships. Prof. Babalola encouraged attendees to actively engage in initiatives that promote multilateral cooperation, stressing the importance of technological tools in connecting, innovating, and collaborating across borders.

‎He highlighted technology as a vital bridge for creating impactful partnerships, enabling young people to engage in international networks, policy dialogues, and innovation ecosystems.

‎Dr. Seni Adetu, Chairman of the Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF), represented by Dr. Opeyemi Agbato, delivered an empowering message to the youth. He underscored the significance of embracing advanced technology to integrate seamlessly into the global landscape. Dr. Agbato pointed out that leveraging modern technological advancements can help young individuals access global opportunities and contribute significantly to community development.

‎He urged the youth to view technology as more than just a personal growth tool; rather, it is a crucial means of fostering multilateral cooperation and enhancing global competitiveness. His remarks acted as a call to action for young people to position themselves as active players in the digital revolution.
