‎Elon Musk has made history by becoming the first individual ever to surpass a net worth of $800 billion, following the acquisition of his artificial intelligence and social media firm, xAI, by his rocket company, SpaceX.

‎According to Forbes, this monumental deal raises the value of the combined company to approximately $1.25 trillion, resulting in an extraordinary boost of $84 billion to Musk’s wealth. As a consequence, his net worth now stands at an unprecedented $852 billion.

‎Prior to the merger, Musk held about 42% ownership in SpaceX and a 49% stake in xAI. Post-acquisition, his ownership in the new SpaceX–xAI entity is projected to be around 43%, making it his most substantial asset with an estimated value of $542 billion.

‎In addition to his holdings in SpaceX and xAI, Musk maintains a 12% stake in Tesla, along with stock options in the electric vehicle manufacturer, further solidifying his status as the wealthiest individual in the world.

‎With this remarkable achievement, Musk’s fortune positions him nearly $580 billion ahead of Google co-founder Larry Page, who ranks as the second-richest person globally. This milestone brings Musk closer to the possibility of becoming the first trillionaire in history.
