OMG 2023: Appeals To Governor Dapo Abiodun, Party Leaders, Elders And Delegates – Mc Anelka

Over the years, a certain name has become an household name in Remo axis of Ogun State. Hardly would you see any resident that has not heard of Hon. Olanrewaju Michael George (OMG) or a family that has not benefited from his philanthropic gesture in one way or the other through his numerous Foundations which was a selfless services.

These made the Constituents so eager to meet and know the face behind the individual who doesn’t belong to any political post and yet, doing everything in his capacity to compliment the efforts of the state government under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun (Prince) in the area of Human Capital, caring for the vulunrables, infrastructure and many more.

In a bid not to disappoint his people, OMG agreed to the request of Remo People to vie for a political post in order to bring credibility to governance and change the narrative of politics in the land.

OMG, upon Obtaining the Interest form to contest as Member House of Representatives to represent Remo Constituency in the forthcoming election under the shadow of All Progressive Party (APC), almost everyone in the area couldn’t hide their excitement because they see “Mr Talk & Do” as the Messiah and the only way to restore hope to the hopeless in Remo Land.

At this defining moment, more than ever before, we have identified perhaps the greatest challenge to our democracy and national prosperity…. the poor choices of party delegates. The problem with Nigeria is not the absence of intelligent minds to run our dear country. The perennial problem is the poor choices made by party delegates at successive primary elections.

For many, it is a unique opportunity to gain some financial reward for their political toil over the years. Some delegates reserve their votes strictly for the highest bidder, even if such is a brainless moneybag.

The Nigerian electorates become helpless by choices made by delegates at every election. Some delegates do not understand the salience of their roles at the primaries. The problem has never been the lack of eligible or willing electorates but who to vote for. This partly explains the problem of voter apathy in Nigeria.

As a result of these, we Nigerian, Ogun State and Remo Youths are appealing to all the concerned party delegates not to Mortgage our future all in the name of highest bidder. Don’t because of what you’ll gain today and sell our future as Youths. Four (4)years is a long time to come-by and we really can’t afford to get it wrong this time around… Knowing fully well that the decision of the Party’s flag bearer solely lies in your (delegates) hands.

Put the internet of the general public first and others can follow.
