A group of hardworking team, party faithful and loyalist of the Nigeria ruling political party, All Progressives Congress, APC in Ore Ward, Odigbo Local Government, Ondo State, led by Alh.(Amb.) Adekunle Adeoriyomi Oluseyi Adepoju – Ayekooto, also known as Akile Oro/Akile Oselu, the Managing Director of Ayekooto Media Concept and his entire team set to decamp from APC based on injustice.

The ewi exponent singer may not be alone after all in his recent assertion that injustice was responsible for the mass defection of him and his team members to the opposition party, which has not yet been announced.

“We say that members of the APC should not be used and dumped again. People leave the party because of lack of equity or justice.

“Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop’. That must stop. This time around, monkey must work and monkey must eat.

“A lot of people who left (our party) did so because of injustice in our party. The party is full of injustice.

In an interview with newsmen at Genesis Media House, over the causes of the team defection to the yet to be announced party, Ayekooto set the record straight, insisting that he and his team was “used and dumped.”

“When i lost my mother, no APC member show up to graced the burial, when i lost my wife and daughter as well, party leaders, elected office holders, appointee and other party chieftains are no where to be found, and same thing happens as well when my studio – “Ayekooto Media Concept” situated at No 221 SOT Mobile Complex, Okitipupa Road, Opposite Zenith Bank, Ore, Odigbo Local Government of Ondo State, was robbed, no one comes to our aid for assistance, and we try to inform Mr. Governor, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Arakurin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu – Aketi, but we see no response from him and his governments”, Amb. Adepoju made this known while speaking with our correspondent.

Ayekooto further stated that he also confronted the Executive Chairperson of Odigbo Local Government, Hon. (Mrs.) Margret Akinsuroju and the Party Chairman Hon. Fatai Olawale several times, and yet the party ignored him and his group of people.

He also made it known that the only reasons why he and his mammoth crowd of people remains in All Progressive Congress till date is because of the good mind of Hon. (Barr.) Morayo Lebi – BML and the Honourable Finance Commissioner of Ondo State, Hon. Wale Akinterinwa.

In his words, Ayekooto stated; “we have been working and contributed so much for the party at ward, local, state and national level over years and no recognition was given to us talk-less of been given a post or an appointment by the local and state administration, but only when their is campaign or court cases for any APC candidate at any level in Ondo State, that is when Ayekooto and his group of team is known and also valuable to the party while after victory, that is the end of the story till another campaign comes, we don’t deserve to be so treated like that.”

“My dumping the APC is not a sudden happening; it came up as fallout of a catalogue of misdeeds on the part of the APC, while he made it clear that he and his supporters have not yet decided of which party to go but plans are on place to move out of APC to another party, and we shall announce to the general public in short times and made it know to them the party we are going to joined.
