In the spirit of the blessed month of Ramadan, the Sagamu Chapter of the APC Youth League as on Saturday, 30th, April 2022, expressed appreciation to the leaders, stakeholders, elders, office holders, stalwarts and members of All Progressives Congress, APC Sagamu, for their massive support during the league 2nd Ramadan Lecture.

The able Coordinator of the league, Comr. Hammed Sunmola (a.k.a TANTALA) said this at the 2nd edition of the annual APC Youth League, Sagamu Chapter, Ramadan Lecture, held on Friday, 29th, April 2022 at Sagamu Town Hall, Sagamu.

Speaking during his welcome speech, Comr. Tantala, welcome everyone to the month of Ramadan, “a month of honor and glamour, a season of spiritual rebirth and splendor”

While appreciating those that present at the programme for their consistent support to the youth league, The Chairman also honorary  thanks; Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate (AFO), Hon. Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye (SEGUN SHITTA), Hon. (Mrs.) Funmilayo Efuwape (FAECO), Alhaji Dauda Olokun, Hon. Toyin Jekami, Hon. Oladimeji Oresanya, Hon. Femi Ogundalu, Aare Olanrewaju Michael George (OMG), Hon. Habeeb Samuel Ajetunmobi (AJE) and Hon. Akeem Oyesile (ODOGU), for their massive kindness, support and assistance in making the Ramadan lecture comes to pass and for their mutual upholding of the youth league.

The Ramadan Lecture, which was held graciously and peacefully in Sagamu Town Hall had in attendance, some APC Leaders, some dignitaries, the guest speaker Imam Abdul Fatai Hassan Ajetunmobi, the Chief Imam of Ibido Community, Sagamu, who doubled as the Missioner, Yar Satar, Remo Branch, among other notable Islamic clerics.

In his message, the guest speaker, Imam Ajetunmobi described the leadership of the APC Youth League, Sagamu Chapter, as a good ambassador and heir of a political youth forum. He prayed the league will witness better times in the coming years; the Chief Imam stated this at the event while appreciating the executives of the youth league for bringing the Ramadan Lecture into politics, with a theme “How Can We Eradicate Cultism And Ritualism In The Life Of The Youth”, that best defined the challenges the nowadays youth are facing.

While delivering his lecture at the event, Imam Ajetunmobi noted that; an effective leader, parents, government and guardians provides clarity of purpose, motivates and guides organizations to realise their mission.

Furthermore, the guest speaker also stated  four ways of eradicating social vices and immoral act, where he listed “Fear Of God, Government & Parental Control, Education and Environment”, as tools that can best be used to eradicate cultism and ritualism in the life of the youth.

While delivering the closing remarks, Comr. Samson Onawoga, the General Secretary of the league, appreciate the guest speaker for his well highlated and defined lectures while he prays for more spiritual power for the Islamic cleric.

Comr. Onawoga also appreciates all the APC Sagamu dignitaries, office holders, elders, leaders and members that contributed in making the Ramadan Lecture a laudable day, while he also congratulates the Ramadan Lecture Committees and fellow league members for keeping the traditions of annually holding various programmes to lighten up the glorious month of Ramadan. “This is the 2nd Ramadan Lecture in the series where we discuss issues that are not only important and contemporary but add inestimable values to the fundamentals of our existence as a political youth body”, the General Secretary said.

“As we all continue to mobilize for progressive change, we pray may the Almighty Allah made a better impact of changes in our lives, State and Nigeria at a whole, and may the Almighty Allah accept our dua as an act of Ibadah in this Holy month of Ramadan”, Comr. Onawoga added.
