The APC Youth League, Sagamu Chapter, experience large turnout in their general meeting held yesterday Friday, 14th October 2022, at the Sagamu APC Party Secretariat, as the general meeting was an evidence of growth in the party and this shows that victory is certain for all APC Candidates in Sagamu.

While declaring the meeting open, the LG Coordinator of the League, Comr. Hammed Sunmola, popularly known as Tantala welcomed all the congregations to the meeting, as he expressed happiness in the massive turn out of the youths at the meeting which shows inclusiveness and has representations from different political wards of Sagamu APC. He also stressed the importance of unity as he evolves the youth to continue the progress of the party, and fully support the emergence of all its candidates, Genesis Media House reports.

“We appealed to all our members to engage voters with our party achievements, and lets shun any forms of Anti-party activities comes 2023 general elections”, Tantala noted.

Its a great privilege for the meeting, as some State Executives led by Ogun APC Youth League Coordinator, Comr. Yunus Fayomi –GATEWAY, his State General Secretary, Hon. Abass Olanrewaju Ismail who also doubled as the Leader of the House, Ijebu North L.G Council, and Comr. Saliu Olamide Daniel – GENESIS, was also in attendance at the meeting.

Gateway in his addressed, enlightened the congregation with the way forward of youth development, modalities and guidelines attributed with the schedule of political activities, benefits and opportunities, while he also intimate the audience with the plans and strategy of the league as it readied all the congregations to support all candidates of APC in the coming 2023 general elections poll.

“The importance of a general youth meetings like this cannot be overemphasized as it avails the league executives the opportunity to evaluate the challenges of the youth and its solutions and way forward towards capacity building and bringing good governance closer to the grassroots”, the State General Secretary, Abass, said while addressing the congregation at the meeting.

One of the National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN) Sagamu Branch Stalwarts, Comr. Taiwo popularly known as Body, who was also in attendance at the meeting, applauds the leadership of the Sagamu APC Youth League for all their efforts so far in mobilizing youths for the party, APC, and canvassing the electorates for the emergence of all APC candidates in Sagamu, while he urge the congregations to also be a good party faithfuls and loyalists to the party, APC.

Also at the meeting, several questions and challenges facing the youths and the party, APC at a whole, were fully discussed as well, while solutions were also proffered for the identified questions/challenges in a communal dialogue, with a charge for improved performances, as the audience were also advised not to relent, adding that the initiatives should be sustained beyond 2023 general elections.

Moreso, several appointed award honours were officially announced at the meeting, with the likes of Mr. Ola Oresanya, Commissioner For Environments,  as Patron, while Hon. Peter Fadipe, the CEO of Peterfad Marble & Dignity Works as Legal Adviser, and Omooba Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, the CEO of Niyifola Limited, as Youth Ambassador, of the league.

The general meeting which was duly represented by the local government excos of the league, ward Coordinator’s, and all members from Ward 1 to 15 of Sagamu Local Government, were fully presence, with over 200 youths in attendance.

In remarks, Genesis thanked the State Executives for their presence, the local government executives and the Coordinator’s, for hosting the very laudable meeting, while he also used the medium to appreciates all sponsors and donors that supported/contributed in hosting of the general meeting, as the meeting was also adjourned to next month, while the official date and time will be communicated across to all the members.
