Ramadan 2026: Otunba Nurudeen Alowonle Preaches Unity, Peace To Ogun Muslim Community

As the holy month of Ramadan commences, respected community leader and philanthropist, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle, has extended warm and heartfelt greetings to Muslim faithful in Sagamu and across Ogun State, urging them to embrace the sacred season with renewed devotion, compassion, and commitment to societal harmony.
In a goodwill message, Otunba Alowonle described Ramadan as a period of profound spiritual reflection, self-discipline, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah. He emphasized that the holy month presents a unique opportunity for Muslims to strengthen their relationship with God, foster unity within their communities, and extend acts of kindness to the less privileged.
“Ramadan is not only a time of fasting from dawn to dusk; it is a sacred season of spiritual rebirth, moral purification, and deep introspection,” he stated. “It teaches us patience, humility, tolerance, and the importance of caring for one another, especially those in need.”
The Sagamu-born leader encouraged Muslim faithful to use the period to pray fervently for peace, progress, and sustainable development in Sagamu, and across Ogun State, noting that collective prayers and righteous conduct remain vital tools for societal transformation.
Otunba Alowonle further called on residents, irrespective of religious and political affiliation, to promote peaceful coexistence and mutual respect during and beyond the Ramadan season. According to him, the values of love, unity, and generosity exemplified during Ramadan should extend into everyday life and governance.
He also urged leaders at all levels to remain committed to policies and initiatives that uplift the welfare of the people, stressing that true leadership is rooted in service, empathy, and accountability.
