RE-OPENING OF COMMERCIAL BANKS IN SAGAMU: Akarigbo Receives Sterling Bank Facility Inspection Team

In a bid to consolidate the visits made by Akarigbo’s Representatives to the headquarters of affected commercial banks in Sagamu during the last mayhem in Sagamu, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, (Torungbuwa II), Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland received today, Saturday, 15th April, 2023, the facility inspection team from the Sterling Bank Plc headquarters in Marina, Lagos.

The facility inspection team was led by Mr. Kelechi Kanu, Head of Branch Expansion, Sterling Bank Plc. Mr. Kanu briefed Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland about their mission in Sagamu to have on spot inspection of the possible locations for the temporary structures and agent/mobile banking in Sagamu and other two local government areas in Remoland.

In his short remarks, His Royal Majesty, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland appreciated the visit made by the facility inspection team from the Sterling Bank Plc. The royal father advised the visiting team to let the security architecture be the utmost priority in choosing their preferred locations.

In addition, Akarigbo stated that Remoland as a whole with the support of Remo Traditional Council and well meaningful Remo Indigenes at home and abroad has setup a Remo Security Trust Fund, (RSTF) that would always support and promote sustainable security initiatives and services in Remoland.

In attendance were representatives of Remo Growth and Development Foundation, (RemoGDF) led by Mr. Wole Awe, General Secretary; others were Prince Adekunle Soile, Ag.GM; Omo’ba Abiola Ogundeko, Head, Media and Publicity; Engr. (Olootu) Oyekanmi Oduguwa and Mr. Babatunde Sebiotimo.

Also in attendance from the Akarigbo’s Palace were Otunba Abiodun Aina, Chief of Staff to Akarigbo and Mr. Segun Jonathan Akanji, PA to Akarigbo.

The facility inspection team from Sterling Bank Plc is expected to make available the report of their inspection visit to His Royal Majesty, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland for further guidance before making their final decision on the choice of locations to be used for the banking activities to their headquarters.
