A Sagamu based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), YETTYCHERRY INITIATIVE have officially announce plans to organize a Debate Competition for Primary, Junior and Senior Secondary Schools Student’s across Remo Land.

The founder of the initiative, Mrs. Yetunde Lawani, who is also the newly elected Social Secretary of Remo Youth Association, said all arrangements are well prepared to hold the Debate Competition on Saturday, 5th March, 2022 at Sagamu Town Hall.

Speaking to a newsmen from GENESIS MEDIA HOUSE, Mrs. Lawani further explained why Students, Youths and Children required this kind of support which she narrated that the importance of education in the society cannot be over emphasized. “The Debate Competition is to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of learnt concepts”, Mrs. Lawani said.

While speaking, the founder added that the participating schools will be private and public schools from the three local government that made up Remo Land with maximum of three (3) students as representatives of each school. “Application for participant is free and Tshirt is compulsory for every participant at an affordable rate of One thousand and five hundred naira only (₦1,500), the screening exercise will commence on Friday, 18th February, 2022 while the topic will be detailed later to the participants,” Mrs. Lawani said.

In conclusion, the founder also stated that the Yettycherry Initiatives will empower the winners with a lots of gift and other consolation prizes as rewards.
