On the night of April 23, 2025, residents of Agura, in Sagamu area of Ogun State, fatally assaulted a suspected thief. Eyewitnesses reported to Genesis Media Hub that the suspect was involved in the theft of a motorcycle from an unknown okada rider.
According to witnesses, the suspect had stolen the motorcycle and was heading towards Atoyo but stopped to rob the okada rider. As the rider shouted for help, a group of witnesses rushed to his aid and pursued the thief along Agura Road.

The angry mob caught the suspected thief, attacking him and administering severe beatings, ultimately leading to his death.
At the time of this report, efforts to contact security agencies for intervention were unsuccessful, as no authorities had arrived at the scene of the incident.
