RYA 2026: Comrade Saliu Olamide Daniel Owoseni (Genesis) Calls For Peace, Transparency, And Unity Ahead Of Crucial Remo Youth Elections

As the Remo Youth Association (RYA) prepares to conduct its much-anticipated elections on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, a leading aspirant for the position of General Secretary, Comrade Saliu Olamide Daniel Owoseni, popularly known as Genesis, has issued a passionate appeal to all stakeholders to uphold peace, unity, and democratic values before, during, and after the polls.
In a statement released ahead of the election, Genesis urged the youth of Remo Land to remain calm, law-abiding, and committed to the principles of orderliness, emphasizing that the success of the electoral process depends largely on the collective conduct of participants. He stressed that the election should be seen not as a battlefield, but as a platform for service, leadership, and community advancement.
Addressing fellow contestants, he called for a spirit of sportsmanship and brotherhood, encouraging all candidates to accept the outcome of the election in good faith. According to him, the essence of leadership within the association is rooted in service to the people, not personal ambition, and as such, every aspirant should embrace the results with maturity and mutual respect.
Genesis also directed his appeal to the electoral committee, chaired by Comrade Sesan Agbolade, urging members to uphold the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and responsibility throughout the electoral process. He emphasized the need for strict adherence to the established guidelines, rules, and constitutional provisions governing the association, while warning against any form of electoral malpractice that could undermine the credibility of the exercise. He further encouraged the committee to engage delegates and electorates with fairness, openness, and integrity to ensure a free, fair, and credible election.
In addition, he called on all delegates and eligible voters to respect the laid-down electoral procedures and exercise their civic responsibility wisely by voting for candidates they believe are best suited to represent their interests and advance the collective goals of the association.
Recognizing the importance of security in ensuring a peaceful election, Genesis also charged all relevant security agencies to remain vigilant and proactive in maintaining law and order throughout the electoral process.
Concluding his message, Genesis reaffirmed his commitment to the unity and progress of Remo Land, expressing optimism that the election would mark a new chapter of purposeful leadership and youth-driven development in the association.
