In a vibrant display of community spirit and unity, the Remo Youth Association (RYA), led by the dynamic Comrade Bidemi Solanrin, celebrated the 7th Annual Remo Youth Day today December 12, 2025, with a meaningful Jumat Thanksgiving Service at the Ode Lemo Central Mosque. This significant gathering not only marked a day of devotion but also showcased the commitment of the youth to contribute positively to their community.
The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer led by the Chief Imam, who welcomed the youth and underscored the importance of such occasions in promoting harmony and gratitude among community members. Comrade Solanrin, in his address, expressed the RYA’s commitment to youth empowerment and community development, highlighting the role that faith and collective responsibility play in shaping a better future for the Remo people.
“Today, we celebrate not only our achievements but also the strength that comes from our unity and shared purpose,” said Solanrin. “As we gather here in gratitude, let us remember our responsibility to uplift each other and our community.”
As a testament to their commitment, the RYA made generous donations of an ultra-modern sound system to the mosque, enhancing its facilities for worship and community gatherings. This gesture was warmly received by the Chief Imam, who expressed profound appreciation on behalf of the entire congregation.
In his response, the Chief Imam conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Remo Youth Association for their support and dedication. “Your presence today is a testament to the promise of our youth and their willingness to contribute to the well-being of our community,” he stated. “The donation will significantly benefit our activities and strengthen our gatherings as a community of faith.”

The event exemplified the RYA’s ongoing efforts to engage with the community, bridging gaps and reinforcing the idea that when youth come together with purpose, they can effect meaningful change.
