RYD 2025: Remo Youth Association Launches 7th Annual Remo Youth Day with A Press Conference, Emphasizing Unity And Future Development

On December 9th, 2025, the Remo Youth Association (RYA), led by the dynamic Comrade Bidemi Solanrin, hosted a significant press conference at the esteemed Akarigbo Palace, Sagamu, to kick off the 7th Annual Remo Youth Day. This year’s theme, “Strength in Unity – Building the Future of Remo Youth,” underscores the vital importance of solidarity and collaborative action among the youth in driving growth and progress in the region.
The event witnessed a robust turnout from various stakeholders, including the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Comrade Elijah, executive members of the RYA, youth leaders hailing from across Remo Land, and representatives from the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) across the three local governments that comprise Remo Land. The presence of media personnel and various youth organizations further highlighted the event’s significance in galvanizing support for the youth in the region.
In his opening address, Comrade Bidemi Solanrin warmly welcomed all attendees and emphasized the crucial role that youth play in shaping Remo Land’s future. “Today, we gather not only to celebrate our accomplishments but to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to unity and progress. Our community’s strength is rooted in our ability to collaborate towards shared objectives,” he passionately proclaimed.
The press conference outlined a comprehensive schedule of activities for the Remo Youth Day celebration, which includes:
- Day 1: Press Conference on December 9th, 2025, at Akarigbo Palace, Sagamu, Ogun State. (Done)
- Day 2: Medical Outreach on December 10th, 2025, at Ologere Palace, Ogere Remo, Ogun State, starting at 11:00 a.m.
- Day 3: Youth Summit on December 11th, 2025, at Ogere Town Hall, Ogere Remo, Ogun State, at 11:00 a.m.
- Day 4: Jumat Service on December 12th, 2025, at Ode Lemo Central Mosque, Ode-Lemo Sagamu, Ogun State, at 1:30 p.m.
- Day 5: Thanksgiving Service on December 14th, 2025, at Methodist Church of Nigeria, Ilara Remo, Remo North LG, Ogun State, at 10:00 a.m.
During the conference, Comrade Elijah elaborated on the planning committee’s initiatives aimed at empowering the youth and addressing pressing issues such as unemployment, education, and access to resources. He highlighted that the theme “Strength in Unity” acts as a rallying cry for collaboration among youth groups in Remo Land, advocating for a unified front to confront existing challenges.
Key representatives from the NYCN lent their voices in support, reiterating the need for collaborative efforts to effect meaningful change within communities. They expressed their commitment to partner with the RYA and other youth organizations to launch programs that align with the aspirations of the region’s youth.
The press conference also featured an interactive session where youth leaders and participants shared innovative ideas and proposed solutions reflecting their realities and aspirations. This engagement aligns with the RYA’s vision to create an inclusive environment where every youth voice is valued and heard.
