The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), in the night hours of Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, raided one of the biggest hotel in Sagamu, Bintoo Hotel Limited, arrested over 50 lodgers, cart away several cars belonging to the lodgers, and one white Range Rover vehicle, reportedly to be owned by the owner of the hotel, Chief Olanrewaju Micheal George, popularly known as OMG.

According to an eye witness, who narrated that the raids began at 3 a.m and the arrested lodgers were rumored to be alleged internet fraudsters.

When our reporter at Genesis Media Hub visited Bintool Hotel Limited, there was an unusual silence on the premises, as people were seen hanging around in groups and discussing in hushed tones.

Our correspondent also gathered that some of the hotel properties worth millions of naira were destroyed by the EFCC operatives, as information had it that the commission operatives numbering about 20 and fully armed, stormed the hotel in “a commando-like manner,” went to the hotel’s front office and threatened workers at gunpoint.

The worker, who pointed at the damaged doors, windows, and many other properties destroyed to our reporter, noted that they were broken by the operatives to forcefully gain access into all the rooms and other areas of the hotel.

As at the time of filling this report, all efforts to reach out to the owner of the hotel, OMG, concerning the raids proof abortive as report had that he’s currently out of the country. Moreso, no one knows the whereabout of the hotel manager and the lodgers arrested by the commission operatives.
