The much-anticipated Sabo Sagamu Youth Day 2021 football cup competition would get underway today, Saturday, February 5th, 2022 by 4:00pm at Muslim High School, Sabo Sagamu.

According to the fixtures released by the sport committee’s of the anniversary event, Atoyo Happy Day will face Eniola FC at 4pm, Mosimi Powerline will tackle Sode FC at 4:45pm while Atoyo FC will fight it out with Muslim All Stars at 5:30pm, all at the same venue today, GENESIS MEDIA HOUSE report.

The opening ceremony, which will commence by 4pm today, will be graced by most distinguished leaders and dignitaries of the society, with the likes of Hon. Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye (Segun Shitta) the Ogun State Deputy Majority Leader, representing Sagamu Constituency 1, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate – the Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Tawio Sunday and Hon. Taiwo Makinde – the two Councilors representing Ward 4 and 5 of the geopolitical area of the association, various Royal king and High Chief’s of the community, various football coaches, Comr. Abdul Jabar Ayelagbe – the Chairman of Ogun State NYCN, Muyideen Oyewole – ex Nigeria U-20 Footballer and many more, are said to be fully presence at the ceremonial kick-off.

Meanwhile, the President of the Association Of Sabo Sagamu Youth Leaders, Comr. Olusola Bashiru Aina while sending messages to all the participating teams at the Match Fixtures meetings held yesterday at the youth secretariat situated at Onijoku Town Hall in Sabo Sagamu, said the youth body would not condone any act of indiscipline from any team or player during and after their match.

He said any team or player misbehaving or violating the rules would be heavily fined and face severe sanctions.

“This is Sabo Sagamu Football Cup Competition, not just an ordinary grassroots football competitions. The rules must be strictly followed to the latter. We expect players to dress properly to the match venue. Secondly, the teams should be at the match venue more than an hour before their matches. As the competition begins today, I wish all the participating teams the best of luck in their outings,” the president said.
