It is a great privilege and honour for me to be here this morning to share in the joy of the enthronement of a man of great vision and mission, OBA OGUNSOLA MUYIDEEN OLUSEYI SOILE to the exalted position of his forefathers as the new AYANPERUWA OF SOTUBO, SAGAMU.
Let me start this address by welcoming our leader and mentor, a God fearing politician of great repute, the performing Governor of Ogun State, PRINCE DAPO ABIODUN MFR and his entourage to Sotubo in Sagamu Local Government on this auspicious occasion of the Official Presentation of Staff of Office to the new AYANPERUWA OF SOTUBO, OBA OGUNSOLA MUYIDEEN OLUSEYI SOILE.
I appreciate the officials of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for being part of this occasion despite their tight schedule. It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty God will continue to direct your foot steps, your personal undertakings and services to mankind (Amen).
My gratitude also goes o our revered monarch HIS ROYAL MAJESTY OBA BABATUNDE ADEWALE AJAYI LLM FCA, The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland and the Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas for his Majesty’s presence at this occasion. His presence is a harbinger of peace, love and symbol of unity for the entire Remo sons and daughters both at home and in the disposal. It is my prayer that the Almighty God will continue to endow you with divine wisdom to rule Remo kingdom and take it to higher pedestal among Yoruba race (Amen)
On this note, I will like to thank our amiable and dynamic Governor of Ogun State, HIS EXCELLENCY PRINCE DAPO ABIODUN MFR for giving us the grace to serve our community by supporting in the delivery of dividends of democracy to our people. More power to your elbow sir, in steering the ship of Ogun State to greater heights.
At this juncture, permit me to congratulate and felicitate HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS OBA OGUNSOLA MUYIDEEN OLUSEYI SOILE, THE NEW AYANPERUWA OF SOTUBO on the ascension of the throne of his forefathers, Kabiyesi is therefore enjoined to regard all sons and daughters of Sotubo irrespective of their backgrounds and affiliations, to be very vital to the development of their home. The Local Government is ready to partner with you in any program you might intend to do for the development of your domain. It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty God will utilise Your Highness’ reign as point of contact to usher in peace, progress and development to Sotubo land, Sagamu Local Government and Ogun State in general.
This address will be incomplete if I fail to acknowledge the efforts of the Coronation Planning Committee who have packaged this programme to the admiration of all and sundry. They have undoubtedly sacrificed their time, money and materials to ensure the success of this programme. It is my prayer that the shadow of the Chairman and members of the Committee will never grow less (Amen).
Finally, I wish to sincerely and joyfully congratulate His Royal Highness, Oba Ogunsola Muyideen Oluseyi Soile on your successful ascension to the throne of your forefathers today. I pray that God will grant you long life and peaceful reign. I also wish His Excellency, all distinguished personalities who have come to grace this occasion. God’s guidance and travelling mercies back to your various destinations.
