2024 Eid-Kabir: Fun As Dignitaries, Foreigners, Residents, Tourists, Youths, And Others, Storm Akogun Base Ileya Tranqulity Vibez In Sagamu
In the last five years, it has become a tradition for the Akogun Base, a first class and the most decorated base in Sagamu, area of Ogun State, to organize an Eid-Kabir Festival to celebrate the rich culture of the Islamic religion in particular and the community in general.
The Base, which has it’s secretariat and joint in Ojumele/Isote junction, Surulere, Sagamu, has in the spirits of celebrating Ileya Festival, brings youths, fun seekers and residents of Sagamu and it’s environs, together to entertain them and celebrates the Eid-Kabir Festival in grand styles, with this year 2024 themes which reads as “Ileya Tranqulity Vibez”.
Akogun Base which is a home to over 1,000 people, serves as an immense economic benefit to residents and also a source of relaxation for residents of the community, and foreigners alike, noting the Base doesn’t accommodate any forms of cultism, violence, gambling or any other social vices that can destroy the existence of the Base, as well as hindering the peace and progress of the community.
Meanwhile, the President of the Base, Comr. Adedeji Soyemi, popularly known as Dejavu, has on behalf of his executives and all members of Akogun Base, used the medium to felicitated with all Muslims brothers and sisters on the occasion of the 2024 Eid–Kabir.
He therefore, charged all Muslims faithfuls to imbibe the lessons of the celebration which are sacrifice, selflessness and peaceful co–existence in their interactions with one another and as well as other religious bodies.
While declaring the Akogun Base 2024 Ileya Carnival open, the President welcomes thousands of residents, tourists, dignitaries and foreign investors among other fun seekers to the amazing event, which was held at the Akogun Base Secretariat. “This event gives participants the opportunity to unwind and have fun in a secured environment, and also provide an avenue for people of different strata to meet and relax, so feel free to dine and wine peacefully with other participants”, Dejavu concluded.
