2027: APC Women Mobilises Spiritual Support For Tinubu’s Re-Election, Launch Weekly National Prayer Campaign

Ahead of the 2027 Presidential Election, women within the All Progressives Congress (APC) have unveiled a nationwide spiritual mobilisation initiative aimed at supporting the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with plans to hold weekly intercessory prayer sessions until the conclusion of the electoral process.

The National Women Leader of the APC, Mrs. Mary Alile Idele, disclosed this during the official commissioning of the Tinubu Torchbearers (TTB) National Secretariat in Abuja, describing the initiative as a strategic blend of grassroots mobilisation and spiritual engagement in support of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to Idele, the weekly prayer sessions will bring together ordained female ministers, royal sisters, established prayer networks, and members of the Northern Muslim Women Assembly (NMWA), who will collectively intercede for the nation and the success of President Tinubu’s administration.

She noted that the initiative underscores the conviction among APC women that while political strategies, reforms, and policies remain critical components of governance and electoral success, divine guidance and intervention are equally indispensable to national development and progress.

“One of the key activities that will take place at this Secretariat is the organisation of weekly intercessory prayers for our nation and for the administration of President Bola Tinubu throughout the campaign period and beyond,” she stated.

“These prayer sessions will be led by ordained female ministers, royal sisters, prayer networks, and the Northern Muslim Women Assembly. This spiritual engagement reflects our collective belief that while strategies and policies are important, divine guidance and support remain essential for national progress and success.”

Grassroots Mobilisation for Renewed Hope Agenda

Beyond the spiritual initiative, Idele revealed that the Tinubu Torchbearers movement has expanded its operational footprint by securing offices and secretariats across several states to strengthen grassroots coordination and voter engagement ahead of the election.

She described the Tinubu Torchbearers as a grassroots-driven mobilisation platform established to effectively communicate the achievements of the Tinubu administration and deepen public participation in the Renewed Hope vision.

“The Tinubu Torchbearers is fundamentally a grassroots mobilisation vehicle established to amplify, communicate and resonate the achievements of the Renewed Hope administration among ordinary Nigerians,” she said.

She stressed the importance of sustaining engagement at the grassroots level, urging supporters to continue enlightening citizens on the administration’s policies, achievements, and developmental initiatives.

“We must continue to oil the grassroots. The people must see the light. They must hear the message. They must understand the achievements. They must become active participants in the Renewed Hope journey. Most importantly, they must deliver overwhelming support for the vision of a better Nigeria,” she added.

Women Situation Room to Monitor Activities Nationwide

As part of efforts to strengthen coordination and election preparedness, the APC National Women Leader announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art Women Situation Room within the newly commissioned secretariat.

The facility, she explained, will serve as a real-time monitoring and coordination hub for Tinubu Torchbearers’ activities across the country while also functioning as a strategic election-monitoring centre.

“I am proud to say that Nigerian women are ready. Your Excellency, permit me to also inform you that one of the innovative facilities within this Secretariat is the Women Situation Room,” Idele said.

“This state-of-the-art platform will enable real-time monitoring of TTB activities nationwide. Beyond campaign activities, the Women Situation Room will serve as a strategic election-monitoring and coordination centre capable of tracking developments across Nigeria’s 176,846 polling units.”

Commendation for APC Leadership and Tinubu’s Reforms

Idele also commended the leadership of the APC under its National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for what she described as consistent support for women’s participation in party affairs and national development.

She expressed appreciation for the opportunities created for women within the party structure, noting that women remain critical stakeholders in the growth and success of the APC.

“At the outset, I wish to sincerely appreciate the leadership of our great party under the stewardship of our National Chairman for his unwavering support for the women’s wing of our party,” she said.

“His leadership has continued to create opportunities for women to participate meaningfully in party affairs and nation-building. We remain grateful for his confidence in the capacity of women as critical stakeholders in the growth and success of our party.”

The APC women leader further lauded President Tinubu’s administration, stating that the Renewed Hope Agenda is delivering transformative reforms and laying the groundwork for sustainable national development.

“I also wish to acknowledge and commend the impactful leadership of President Tinubu, whose Renewed Hope Agenda continues to transform lives and reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth and development,” she said.

The commissioning of the Tinubu Torchbearers National Secretariat marks another significant step in the APC’s preparations ahead of the 2027 presidential election, as party stakeholders intensify efforts to consolidate support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition through political mobilisation, strategic engagement, and coordinated grassroots activities nationwide.
