INDEPENDENCE DAY: Sagamu APC Youth League Greets Nigerians On The Occasion Of Nigeria 62nd Independence Day Anniversary, Urge Youths To Vote Not Fight

The Sagamu Local Government chapter of the APC Youth League, ably led by the Coordinator, Comr. Hammed Sunmola, popularly known as Tantala, has felicitates with the people of Sagamu, Ogun State and Nigeria at a whole, as Nigeria celebrates her 62 years independence anniversary today, Saturday, 1st October, 2022.

In the congratulating messages, Tantala described Independence Day as a day of freedom that provides an opportunity to reflect on the country’s progress, celebrate its humble attainments and ponder over those dreams yet to be fulfilled.

The youth coordinator uses the celebration of Nigeria’s 62nd independence anniversary to appreciate the great people of Sagamu, mostly the party, APC, elected office holders, appointees, leaders, stalwarts, loyalists, faithfuls, supporters and members, as well as the APC youths in general and the league executives, ward coordinators and members of the league, for their unflinching and unalloyed supports for the party, APC, and that of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and all other APC candidates in Sagamu, as we continue to tread the path of greatness and economic progress, by building our future together and also assured the successes victory of all the APC candidates in Sagamu and Ogun State at a whole, as well as Nigeria.

While narrating the importance of youths in today’s nation building, Tantala made it clear that Sagamu, Ogun State and Nigeria’s youth at large, constitute by far the largest population in the country and plays a key developmental role in making the dreams of the nation comes to reality, but have regrettably remained the main perpetrators and victims of electoral violence. They have been historically used by the political elite as instruments of electoral violence and lost interest in voting during elections due to the failure of successive governments to cater for their needs. He therefore urge all youths to also get involved in politics, by collecting their PVC’s to vote in the coming elections, draw plans of ambitions and also be partaken in the political process of the nation buildings, either at ward, local, state or national levels, as their involvements and participations is the only way to change the narratives.

We must use this year’s independence day celebrations to remind ourselves on the need to do what we can to meet the yearnings of the people of the country. We are in a season where people expect growth, development, prosperity, peace, quality education, security of lives and property, as we will continue to strengthen our resolve to develop Sagamu, Ogun State and Nigeria at a whole, by engaging the governments towards alleviating the sufferings of the people. As a youths, we therefore need to set aside the narrative of division, violence, bigotry, ethnics and hate. We need love, peace and unity, to make Sagamu, Ogun State and Nigeria at large a better place for us all.

On behalf of the Sagamu APC Youth League, it is my pleasure to make these goodwill remarks to commemorate the 62nd independence anniversary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. With this spirit, I offer a prayer for the well-being of one and all, that may this time offers us a new opportunities, new glories, new achievements and to renew our drive towards attaining greater heights and also makes us enjoy the treasures together.

Happy Celebrations!

God bless Federal Republic Of Nigeria!
God bless Ogun State!
God bless Sagamu!
God bless APC!
God bless The Youths!
