A worried Nigerian social media user, with username Samuel N on X, had queried why the Nigerian Police always gave excuses after abductions have taken place.
In his tweet, the user wrote;

Kidnapping in lagos….”oh no, its because of the water ways that leads to Portharcourt and Bayelsa”
Okay Sir, what of the ones in Ekiti, “oh…forget that one, it’s because of the forest in Ekiti”…
Me: I’m tired😂. I give up!!

In responding to the tweet, the Nigeria Police Force PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi replied him, saying;
You don’t need to give up. That is the reality. Most of the kidnapping cases we read online are not real. They are either staged and faked. We analyse security situations based on empirical facts and figures. We will have another forum or many other organized fora to discuss these concepts of kidnapping, abduction, one chance, armed robbery, organised crimes, and arranged assassination. These are different concepts or crimes that we need to understand, and the psychology of the perpetrators. No sentiment, but realities. Open your mind to discussions and explanations of experts and security operatives for better understanding. Thanks
