The lawmaker representing Sagamu Constituency 1 at the State Assembly, Hon. Omooba Oluwadamilare Mohammed Bello, politically known as Hon. DRE, has said that he was not championing sectional interest in quest to carries out his legislative works for the betterment of his people, noting that his leadership were consistent with his ways, not prompted by any political or religious sentiment but harped on the unity, progress and development of his Constituency, irrespective of languages, tribes, politics, or religions beliefs, stressing that we are all brothers and sisters.
This was made known while receiving a coalition of Sagamu youths, with some allegedly to be members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, during their surprise visit to his office at the Assembly Complex, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday, July 16th, 2024.
“We came to Oke Mosan to had a meeting with the Speaker of the Ogun House of Assembly, Hon. Daisi Elemide, and we decided after the meeting to use that medium in saying hello to all public office holders from Sagamu Local Government, at their various offices, hence the reasons why we are here to pays a surprise visit to your office as well”, the visiting youths said.
“My administration is being driven solely by a patriotic determination to birth a new Sagamu, adding that it was not by any sectional, political or religious consideration, as the same attribute with him harps on the oneness of Sagamu”, the lawmaker said while addressing the visiting youths.

“My door is open for everyone. As the elected representatives for Offin Constituency at the State Assembly, I represent all Sagamu constituents, be it PDP, APC, and other’s political parties, not excluding the religious bodies as well”, Hon. Dre said.
The lawmaker while thanking the visiting youths for their visitations, also narrated that despite being elected under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, he has been involved in rendering support to members of other political parties, stating political affiliations or religious beliefs doesn’t matters to him when it’s about coming together for the progress of his Constituency, Sagamu, and humanity at large. ‘’I’m not a PDP legislator, I’m not an Islamic legislator, and I’m not even a youth legislator, but a Sagamu 1 Offin Constituency legislator,” he said.
Hon. DRE also pointed out to some of his campaign messages during the previous electioneering period where he said repeatedly that he should not be voted for because he is a PDP candidate but he wanted to be voted for because he was coming to the table with solutions to the problems facing the Constituency, noting his antecedents, backed by an unimpeachable character of high moral standing, competence, and capacity, make him a natural fit for the job of being winner in the last election.
The lawmaker also uses the medium to highlight some of his finished and ongoing projects in his Constituency, noting he’s presently arranging to carries out massive construction of boreholes in the constituency, stating every political wards in his Constituency, will have each borehole water projects.
In conclusions, the visiting youths also appreciates the lawmaker for his warmest hospitality, noting even though they didn’t informed him before for their coming, but he still find time out of his busy schedule to welcome them to his office. “We are overwhelmed with your messages, your generosity without any political, religious or social connotation, have made us believes that we are one in Sagamu, and the development of our town, Sagamu, should be our common goals irrespective of political, social or religious status. If Mr. ‘A’ succeeds, we succeed together. If Mrs. ‘B’ rejoices, we still rejoice together”, the visiting youths said.
