President Bola Tinubu Partners With Governor Soludo For Anambra’s Development
President Bola Tinubu has affirmed his collaboration with Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, to foster the growth and development of the region. This statement came during Tinubu’s first official visit to Anambra since his presidency, which took place on Thursday.
During the visit, the president inaugurated significant projects, including the newly constructed Anambra Government House and the Soludo Fun City.
Speaking at Alex Ekwueme Square, Tinubu praised Soludo for establishing a solid foundation for progress in the state, emphasizing that Anambra is on a path of remarkable development. He noted that the extensive infrastructure projects are in line with Soludo’s vision for Anambra to become Africa’s Dubai, Taiwan, and Silicon Valley.
In a light-hearted moment, Tinubu playfully urged Soludo, whom he called his friend, to help him acquire land in Anambra for his future retirement home. “I have just commissioned two landmark projects—the Solution Fun City and the government house mini-city—as part of the initial steps toward your ambitious vision of Anambra as the African-Dubai-Taiwan-Silicon Valley,” Tinubu stated.
He highlighted the significant infrastructural transformation and human capital development as bold affirmations of effective leadership. “A few years ago, Dubai was primarily a desert, but today it stands as a global hub, all because one man dared to dream. I remember when Soludo aimed to consolidate Nigerian banks, and many deemed it impossible. Yet, that vision was realized, and Nigeria benefitted immensely. Similarly, we conquered the Atlantic Ocean despite skeptics, proving that Anambra holds immense potential. Under Soludo’s leadership, we can accelerate this vision together.”
Reiterating his commitment to Anambra, Tinubu declared, “Going forward, I am not just a friend but a bona fide son of the soil—one of you, your own son! Perhaps my friend and your governor, Charles Soludo, should indeed find me a plot of land for my retirement home after my service.”
