Barcelona has officially announced the signing of 19-year-old winger Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen, solidifying their squad for the upcoming seasons. The La Liga champions confirmed on Monday that Bardghji has signed a contract lasting until June 30, 2029, though they did not disclose the financial details of the transfer.
According to reports from Spanish media, the transfer fee is around 2.5 million euros (approximately $3 million). Bardghji made a significant impact at Copenhagen, netting 15 goals in 84 appearances since joining the first team in the 2021/2022 season.
The young winger faced a setback due to a severe knee injury in May 2024, sidelining him for nearly a year. However, he made a successful return to action in March 2025.
Bardghji marks Barcelona’s second signing of the summer, following the acquisition of goalkeeper Joan Garcia from local rivals Espanyol. As he prepares for pre-season matches, the Sweden U21 international will aim to impress head coach Hansi Flick in hopes of securing a spot in the first team for the upcoming season.
