Sen. Solomon Adeola (YAYI): The Catalyst For Ogun State’s Transformation In 2027
By Oludare Joshua

Citizens of Ogun State have been promised enhanced socio-economic welfare and comprehensive development in the upcoming administration, contingent on electing the right leader in the forthcoming general elections.
Olootu Bolaji Adeniji, a prominent Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Convener of the “Ogun West Initiative,” expressed this assurance during a recent press conference in Abeokuta, the state capital. He emphasized that the state is poised for unprecedented advancements in social services and development under the leadership of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
Adeniji, addressing journalists at the Journalist Press Center, highlighted Senator Adeola’s track record, current performance, and innovative ideas, asserting that he is the ideal candidate to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in the 2027 elections.
“Without a doubt, Senator Adeola, affectionately known as YAYI, has demonstrated remarkable transformational leadership,” Adeniji stated. “His legislative efforts have delivered tangible benefits to his constituents, resulting in significant social and economic changes in Ogun West. The scale and impact of his interventions across all sectors and electoral wards underscore his commitment to the common good.”
While praising Senator Adeola’s accomplishments, Adeniji urged voters to recognize the potential for even greater advancements if he is elected governor. He described the widespread acknowledgment of Adeola’s exceptional performance in Ogun West and emphasized that many are yet to grasp the ambitious plans he has for the entire state.
“His vision for urban renewal, rural infrastructure, and human capital development, particularly in education and healthcare, promises that every child and citizen will have easy access to quality schools and healthcare facilities,” he explained.
Adeniji elaborated on Adeola’s plans to boost agro-business, particularly in cocoa production and export, and develop new economic corridors that would connect Lagos and Ogun states. He also noted the ongoing exploration efforts in the Tongeji Island basin, which aim to establish Ogun as an oil-producing state.
Responding to concerns regarding Ogun State’s financial situation and debt profile, Adeniji expressed confidence in Senator Adeola’s expertise. “YAYI is a financial expert familiar with the state’s fiscal landscape. He will optimize the tax system for better accountability and reprioritize government spending to enhance citizen welfare. The implementation of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model will catalyze industrialization, coupled with increased statutory allocations from the new VAT system.”
Adeniji called on APC members and the general populace to ensure Senator Adeola’s presence on the ballot and secure the majority vote needed to advance Ogun State towards a promising future. “We urge the people to allow YAYI to extend his transformative impact across Ogun State. His leadership has the potential to revolutionize our state, and we are optimistic about what lies ahead,” he concluded.
