Empowering Young Women: Sagamu NYCN Launches Bakery Initiative Training Program, Targeted 100 Female Youths

In a significant move aimed at empowering young women and addressing unemployment, the Sagamu Local Government Area (LGA) of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) is set to launch a Bakery Initiative training program that will benefit a minimum of 100 female participants.
This innovative program will serve all 15 wards within the Sagamu LGA and is spearheaded by the Youth Council leadership, under the guidance of Comrade Yusuf Olatunji Adebayo, in partnership with the Bakery Initiative and the Challenge Fund for Youth Empowerment. It specifically targets women between the ages of 18 and 35, equipping them with practical and employable skills.

Spanning two weeks, the intensive training will cover a diverse range of subjects, including:
– Bread Making
– Baked and Fried Pastries
– Cake Making and Basic Techniques
– Business Management
– Soft Skills Development
The ultimate goal of the initiative is to enhance the self-reliance and economic empowerment of young women in the area, providing them with the tools needed to achieve financial independence.
“This program will be more than just training; it’s a pathway to economic freedom,” emphasized Comrade Olatunji Adebayo.
