2027: Ebira Indigenes In Ogun State Pledges Unalloyed Support For Abiodun’s Senate Ambition, Urges PVC Registration

Comrade Bello Abdulzeez, the Political Director of the Ebira Indigenes in Remo Land, and Media Aide to Hon. Toyin Dayo Adeoye, Councilor representing Ward 4, SLG, has declared the unwavering support of his people for Governor Dapo Abiodun’s anticipated senatorial ambition in 2027.
In a powerful statement issued today, Comrade Bello Abdulzeez drew a parallel between the massive mobilization he led for Prince Abiodun’s re-election in 2023 and the commitment he promises for the governor’s next political venture.
”The way I campaigned for Prince Dapo Abiodun’s reelection in 2023 with mobilization of all my people in support, we’ll still show the same support for the Governor’s 2027 senate ambition,” Abdulzeez stated. “Ebira people in Ogun State are fully in support of D.A, because we are seeing the impact of his good work. We urge everyone to let the good work continue in the Ogun East senate come 2027.”
Understanding that support must be backed by actionable strategy, the comrade issued a rallying cry for voter registration. He urged every Ebira indigene and resident of Ogun State to come out en masse to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
He assured that his mobilization efforts would extend beyond the Ebira community to all non-indigenes in the state, positioning them as a formidable voting bloc for the “Talk and Do” Governor.
In the most striking part of his address, Comrade Bello Abdulzeez sent a strong message to Governor Abiodun’s appointees hailing from the Ogun East senatorial district. He noted that while many are effective, some have shown a concerning lack of capacity and connection to the grassroots, which he insisted is the bedrock of all politics.
He emphasized that some appointees are “just collecting salary without showing commitment” and urged the Governor to “check very well” the performance of those representing his administration.
While emphasis on his messages to the appointees in pigin English, Comrade Bello said “As you dey forward Governor Prince Dapo 2027 Senate ambition go WhatsApp group with disappearing messages, so if Gov. Prince Dapo Abiodun decides to turn your appointment to one-time-view, no use cry disturb us for here,” he said. This analogy served as a clear message that underperformers should not be surprised if their appointments are terminated abruptly, just like a message that disappears after being viewed.
The statement underscores the deep-seated support for Governor Abiodun within non-indigene communities, whose votes are increasingly seen as critical in determining electoral outcomes in the state. It also highlights a growing internal focus within the APC on accountability and grassroots effectiveness ahead of the next election cycle.
