‎Makun 2027: Omooba (Dr.) Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, FEIPA, Storm Sagamu II APC Secretariat With Large Turn-out Of Electorates, Card Carrying Members, And Others, To Formally Declare His Ogun Assembly Bid ‎ ‎The political landscape of Sagamu II (Makun) State Constituency witnessed a significant boost on April 15, 2026, as frontline aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Omooba Dr. Adeniyi Adesola Idowu, FEIPA, fondly called Niyifola, formally declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. ‎ ‎The declaration ceremony, held at the APC Constituency Secretariat in Makun, drew an impressive crowd of party leaders, elders, stakeholders, executives, and enthusiastic supporters, reflecting the growing momentum behind Niyifola’s aspiration. ‎ ‎Accompanied by the Ward 14 APC Chairman, Prince Obademola, Niyifola was received by the Constituency Chairman and Sagamu APC Vice Chairman, Mr. Kehinde Oseni, who welcomed attendees and commended the unity within the party ranks. He emphasized the importance of cohesion and collective commitment as the party prepares for future political engagements. ‎ ‎In his remarks, Prince Obademola lauded the strong turnout and seized the moment to formally present Niyifola to the party hierarchy. He described him as a loyal and active member of the APC with deep grassroots connections in Ward 14 and beyond. Highlighting his numerous contributions, Obademola noted that Niyifola has consistently demonstrated commitment to party growth and community advancement, making him a worthy aspirant. ‎ ‎Addressing the gathering, Niyifola expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support and solidarity shown by party members. He officially declared his ambition and articulated a clear vision centered on purposeful representation, sustainable development, and people-oriented legislation. He assured the audience of his readiness to serve with integrity, diligence, and accountability. ‎ ‎A major highlight of the event was the presentation of his formal Letter of Intent to the Constituency Chairman, which was publicly read by the APC Secretary, Mr. Dodo. In the letter, Niyifola sought the endorsement and backing of party leaders and members, pledging not to betray the confidence reposed in him. ‎ ‎The declaration further featured goodwill messages from respected elders and stakeholders, who offered prayers, counsel, and strategic advice. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as supporters openly declared their backing, expressing confidence in Niyifola’s ability to effectively represent Makun at the State Assembly. ‎ ‎Among the dignitaries present were notable figures including Alhaji Dauda Olokun, Pa Ade Anade, Olootu Omooba Jimi Olatunji Aare, Mrs. Erinle, Mama Bright, and the Sagamu APC Women Leader, Alhaja Rukayat Sonubi (Yoboro), alongside other prominent party stalwarts and community influencers. ‎ ‎With this formal declaration, Niyifola has firmly positioned himself as a strong contender in the race, setting the tone for what promises to be a dynamic and closely watched contest in Sagamu II as the 2027 elections approach. ‎
