Bicag Charity Foundation Celebrates 1st Anniversary, Empowering Over 250 Vulnerable Individuals In Sagamu
The Bicag Charity Foundation proudly marked its first anniversary by empowering more than 250 elderly individuals, widows, and other vulnerable members of the community at a special event held today January 26, 2025, at Ewusi Hall in Makun Sagamu, Ogun State.
The founder and CEO of the foundation, Mrs. Abidemi Emmanuel, opened the ceremony by welcoming guests and emphasizing the foundation’s mission to uplift the community through various initiatives. She highlighted the vital role the foundation plays in addressing the needs of vulnerable populations and fostering community development.
The royal father of the day, His Royal Highness, Alayeluwa Oba Timothy Akinsanya, the Ewusi of Makun Kingdom, offered royal blessings to the event and its founder. He spoke on the significance of the foundation’s work, commending its positive impact on beneficiaries and the overall community.Guest of honour, Omooba (Hon.) Damilare Mohammed Bello ‘DRE’, the lawmaker representing Sagamu Constituency 1, praised the foundation as a pillar of community support. He expressed pride in the achievements of the youth from Makun Kingdom, both locally and globally, and lauded Oba Akinsanya for his leadership.

Dr. Adedotun Ogundehin, the event’s guest speaker, delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of charity organizations like Bicag and their role in fostering personal growth and development.

Representing the youth community, Comrade Bidemi Solarin, Chairman of the Remo Youth Association (RYA), commended Mrs. Emmanuel for her commitment to giving back to the community. He urged other leaders and philanthropists in Sagamu to follow her example while also emphasizing the need to support the youth in future initiatives.
The NYCN Coordinator for Sagamu Local Government, Comrade Ayoola Aduroja, echoed these sentiments, praising the foundation for its ongoing support to the community and advocating for increased assistance to the younger generations.
