Remo By-election: Oyeleke Folajuwon Oluwole Courts Local Legislators’ Support In Bid For APC Ticket
As part of his strategic consultations ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for the upcoming House of Representatives by-election in Remo Federal Constituency, Oyeleke Folajuwon Oluwole held a familiarization meeting with all Sagamu Local Government councillors. The meeting, which took place on April 22, 2025, at Pacific Guest House in Sagamu, Ogun State, provided an opportunity for Oyeleke to formally engage the local legislators and seek their support for his aspiration to emerge as the APC flagbearer.
In his opening remarks, Oyeleke emphasized the vital role of local legislators in shaping political direction within the party. He noted that their backing would be instrumental in advancing his vision for a more prosperous Remo. He also unveiled his 7-point agenda, which outlines his development priorities and commitment to grassroots empowerment. The councillors expressed appreciation for Oyeleke’s outreach and commended his energy, boldness, and readiness to serve. They encouraged him to remain committed to his promises and urged him to build on the legacy of the late Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga IJAYA. The legislators emphasized the need for strong and courageous representation for Remo at the national level.Present at the meeting were all ward councillors from Wards 1 to 15 in Sagamu Local Government, alongside members of Oyeleke’s campaign team and APC stakeholders. The gathering reflected a growing momentum around his aspiration and a willingness among party leaders at the grassroots to listen to new voices.
