2027: Ogun APC Governorship Aspirant, Reaffirms Support For President Tinubu, Donates Campaign Buses

As preparations for the 2027 general elections intensify, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Hon. Dr. Jelili Kayode Amusan, has donated nine campaign buses to the Ogun State chapter of the Tinubu National Think-Tank (TNT) in support of the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The donation was announced on Sunday during a strategic familiarisation meeting between Dr. Amusan and a high-powered delegation of the Ogun State chapter of the Tinubu National Think-Tank. According to a statement issued by his media team, the former member of the National Assembly assured the group that the buses would be delivered on or before the end of February 2026.
Dr. Amusan, who serves as the Patron of the organisation, led in Ogun State by the Interim Coordinator, Comrade Olamilekan Sunday Sobowale, described the gesture as a reflection of his unwavering loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his strong commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 polls.
The statement noted that the governorship hopeful reaffirmed his total and unshakable support for President Tinubu, stressing that the success of the President’s administration remains a personal priority. He explained that the donation was aimed at strengthening the grassroots mobilisation capacity of the Tinubu National Think-Tank across Ogun State, adding that the vision and objectives of the group align seamlessly with his progressive ideals.
Dr. Amusan also eulogised President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, highlighting several landmark achievements recorded within a short period in office. These, according to him, include durable road construction and rehabilitation projects designed to last over fifty years; the removal of fuel subsidy, which has freed up massive resources for national development; the introduction of student loan schemes that have kept millions of Nigerian students in school and significantly reduced dropout rates; stabilisation of the money market; the resolution of perennial ASUU strikes; upward review of the national minimum wage and NYSC allowance; intensified efforts to tackle insecurity; and massive investments in the health sector with the provision of world-class equipment.
Speaking further, Dr. Amusan emphasized that the continuation of President Tinubu’s administration beyond 2027, up to 2031, would be of immense benefit to Nigerians. He noted that his support for the President is driven purely by the desire for sustained national growth, stability and prosperity, adding that President Tinubu’s leadership has restored hope, strengthened democratic values and repositioned Nigeria on the path of sustainable development.
Earlier, the leader of the TNT delegation, Comrade Olamilekan Sunday Sobowale, commended President Tinubu’s administration for its bold reforms and remarkable achievements despite prevailing challenges. He expressed profound appreciation to Dr. Amusan for his generosity, visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to progressive governance, describing the donation as a major boost to the organisation’s mobilisation drive and overall mission.
The delegation concluded by assuring Dr. Amusan of the group’s continued support and dedication to advancing the ideals of the Tinubu National Think-Tank in Ogun State and beyond.
