Family Announces August 10th, 2024, As The Funeral Ceremony Date For Late Chief Dauda Owoseni Saliu, The Father Of Sagamu Base Media Personnel, Genesis 

The family of the late Oloritun (Eni-Itan 1) of Ijoku Land and Olumale of Agura Land, Sagamu, area of Ogun State, Late Chief Dauda Owoseni Saliu, has announced the funeral date for the late beloved icon, the 72-year-old traditionalist who is a core politician, leader and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sagamu and Ogun State Chapter, died in his private residence at Sofowora Street in Sagamu, on Monday, April 8th, 2024, after a short illness, and was also buried at the same date according to the Traditional rites. Survived by wife, children and grand children.

According to the obituary put out by the family of the deceased, a Funeral Ceremony for the late Patriarch will take place on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at his residence in No 11 Sofowora Street, Sabo Sagamu, area of Ogun State.

A statement signed by the late Oloritun’s son Comr. Saliu Olamide Daniel, popularly known as Genesis, on Friday, May 10th, 2024, said the funeral arrangements was put in place after final conclusions from family and children of the deceased at a meeting held on that same Friday.

“With hearts overflowing with gratitude, the entire Saliu’s family wishes to extend our deepest appreciation to all those who have extended their warmth and compassion to us during this trying time, following the unfortunate transition of our beloved Patriarch, Chief Dauda Owoseni Saliu, the statement said.

“Your unwavering display of affection has touched our souls in immeasurable ways, and mere words cannot adequately express our gratitude.

“Your love and kindness serve as powerful catalysts, strengthening our unshakeable faith in God Almighty and reaffirming our commitment to serving humanity.

“To those who took the time to paid us a condolences visit, we extend our heartfelt appreciation. Your presence brought solace to our hearts, and your invaluable support lifted our spirits.”

The family also extended their gratitude to political leaders, royal fathers, religious and community leaders, the Nigerian Army and legion, the Odua People’s Congress, OPC, public officials, youth association, student council, Niyifola Limited, Bicag Charity Foundation, Ennyade Concept, and others, and as well as politicians from across party lines, who have shown us love and sympathy during this challenging period”, the statement reads.

In additions, we are using this medium to call and announce that all dignitaries, politicians, political groups, friends, well-wishers, and the general public are invited to the funeral ceremony to pay their last respects and honour the memory of the late Patriarch, Chief Dauda Owoseni Saliu”, Genesis concluded.
