Gateway Bloggers Commit To Objectivity And Positive Representation Of Ogun State
By Oludare Joshua

In a significant initiative, Gateway Bloggers have vowed to distinguish themselves in the realm of journalism by prioritizing objectivity and responsible reporting.
During a recent courtesy visit to Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the Governor of Ogun State, the bloggers articulated their mission to highlight the authentic beauty, progress, and potential of Ogun State, countering prevalent stereotypes and misinformation.
Comrade Olamide David, the State Coordinator of Gateway Bloggers, articulated their vision of enhancing Ogun State’s visibility on the global stage by promoting government initiatives and fostering positive narratives. He assured Akinmade of their dedication to responsible journalism, emphasizing that they view themselves not merely as bloggers but as partners in the state’s development.
In his response, Akinmade welcomed the bloggers and underscored the significance of responsible civic engagement. He noted that while leaders welcome constructive criticism, they are not receptive to personal attacks disguised as critique. “We are open to constructive criticism—fair and factual insights aimed at fostering improvement,” he stated.
Akinmade also shared insights from his personal journey, highlighting the virtues of sincerity, patience, and faith in achieving success. He emphasized that genuine efforts, backed by integrity, are ultimately rewarded.
This meeting heralds the dawn of a collaborative partnership between Gateway Bloggers and the Ogun State government, founded on trust, transparency, and shared aspirations for the state’s growth. As Akinmade aptly concluded, “Let us continue to work together with sincerity, patience, and faith—trusting that the right time will bring its rewards.”
