INSECURITY: Ayekooto Akewi, A Prominent Yoruba Ewi Artiste Escapes Assassination Attempts In Ogun

A popular Yoruba Akewi artiste, Amb. Adeoriyomi Adekunle popularly known as Ayekooto Akile Oro, has narrated how he escaped an assassination attempt by an unknown thugs at Ijagun Ijebu Ode Local Government area of Ogun State while on his way going back to Ore, Ondo State where he went to go and gather some informations being inline with his professions.
Ayekooto, who narrated his ordeal yesterday to our correspondent at Genesis Media House, said the unknown assassins or kidnappers blocked his alone cab, Uber car along the road very closed to School Of Health Technology, Ijagun, on Thursday, 8th September, 2022, at about 10:45 pm.
According to him, the unknown thugs also took away his wallet containing his Identity Card, Permanent Voter’s Card, Phones, Laptops and some cash which amount to Fourty – Four Thousand Naira (₦44,000) during the time of the incidents while trying to escaped. “The whereabouts of the Uber Driver was not yet identified, as i can’t identify the exactly things that might have happened to the driver during the horrible attack, whether he’s alive or not, no one can say but it is my prayer that God should help protect him” Ayekooto added.
“I want to thank God that the devil is a liar and His children will always be protected. Thankfully I am well upright and none of my body was hurt, while am using this medium to appeal to the Government at the national, state and local level to continue to strengthen up their security operations in protecting the main reasons of their primary assignment to the citizens,” Ayekooto stated.
“Let me assure my well-wishers, fans and my supporters that this incident has not deterred me, rather it has made me to be more vigilant. So, I’m using this medium to inform you all, the general public to disregards all forms of unknown people that might form to be me, by using all my lost credentials or identities to scam people. Please, be security cautions”, Ayekooto stated.
